Original title: Consider recommendations regarding the Tuberculosis (TB) Control Local Assistance Funds Acceptance of Award Number 2642BASE-F and 2642BASE-S from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Acceptance of Award Nos. 2642BASE-F and 2642BASE-S for the TB Control Local Assistance Funds with the CDPH TB Control Branch to enhance current efforts to prevent, control and eventually eliminate TB in Santa Barbara County. This award, in the amount not to exceed $114,290.00, is for a period of performance from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027; b) Approve and authorize the County Health Director, or designee, to make any required certifications in accordance with Award Nos. 2642BASE-F and 2642BASE-S; and c) Determine that the recommended actions do not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines, because the actions consist of the creation of a government funding mechanism or other government fiscal activity, which does not involve commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
