Hawaii Gov. Josh Green ordered the closure of schools and government offices on the islands of Kauai, Niihau, and Oahu for Tuesday as Hurricane Lowell approaches. The storm is projected to bring damaging winds, mudslides, tornadoes, dangerous rip currents, and up to 24 inches of rainfall.
