Recommendations for the Ad Hoc CommitteeAttachments: Chair Pascale presented his recommendations to the City Council to extende the Ad Hoc Business Development & Re-Development Advisory Committee. Committee members voted on three recommendations to the City Council: 1. Recommendation to the City Council for a business liaison. 2. Recommendation to the City Council to extend the Ad Hoc Business Development & Re-Development Advisory Committee or create a new business roundtable with a separate set of directors. 3. Recommendation to the City Council that they revisit the previous parking solution. Committee members shared their thoughts and ideas regarding the continuation of the Ad Hoc Business Development & Re-Development Advisory Committee. (8) STAFF COMMUNICATIONS None. (9) CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION Councilor Henry expressed her thoughts regarding the Ad Hoc Business committee working with the Chamber of Commerce and creating a roundtable. She also suggested that the committee should present their ideas to the City Council. Councilor Schwan shared information about an upcoming ordinance regarding micro wheeled vehicles. She mentioned that the City Council did not proceed with the trolley contract on November 18, 2024, and due to city council rules, the trolley issue cannot be revisited for one year from that date. She concluded her discussion by sharing her thoughts and ideas on the potential creation of a roundtable. (10) PUBLIC COMMENT (TIME CERTAIN 1:15 P.M..) None. March 19, 2025Ad Hoc Business Development & Re-Development Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes - Final (13) OTHER COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS Vice Chair, Oliverio, thanked the committee and city staff for their time and participation in the Ad Hoc Business Development & Re-Development Advisory Committee. Daniel Smith and the committee members discussed and reviewed all the recommendations that the Ad Hoc Business committee will be presenting to the City Council. MOTION by Member Spindler, seconded by Member Sokol, to make a recommendation to City Council for a business liaison,to make a recommendation to City Council to revisit the previous parking solution, to make a recommendation to City Council to use first class mail Vs certified mail, to make a recommendation to City Council to clean up the Land development code.
