Enrique notes that the 4

2 village received a prestigious award for its 2022 ACFR and expects to receive it again for 2023. He also points out two findings in the audit related to financial statements, which are detailed in the report along with a corrective action plan. The meeting focused on the village's audit status and financial health. Enrique explained that the audit is currently behind schedule, but transitioning to a new auditor, CBIZ, who will begin the process soon. CFO, Maythe Gamiotea confirmed that the transfer to CBIZ is in progress, and they are working on gathering the required information. Frank, the new village manager, inquired about areas to focus on during the audit review, and Enrique advised paying attention to communication between management and auditors, as well as the timeliness of deliverables. Frank also discussed the village's fund balance and reserves, and Enrique confirmed that the unassigned fund balance is healthy. Only TIES students are eligible for reduced or free services. The proposed millage rate of 5.7062 mills for FY 2025-26, $1.8 million above the rollback rate, was also reviewed.  Employee benefits and the upcoming budget were discussed, including time-off policies, longevity pay, and insurance for tier-one managers.
