GOLF ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES CITY OF PORT ORANGE DOROTHY L. HUKILL CITY CENTER ANNEX 1395 DUNLAWTON AVE - CONFERENCE ROOM PORT ORANGE, FLORIDA SEPTEMBER 3, 2024

THE REGULAR GOLF ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the City of Port Orange was called to order by Richard Lee at 5:00 p.m.

3. Consideration of Minutes: June 4,2024

4. Financial and Evaluation Reports from KemperSports

General Manager of KemperSports, Jeff Dayton, provided an overview of the financial and evaluation reports and answered questions from the board. Chair, Richard Lee suggested making a cart path from Woodhaven to the golf course. Parks Manager, Kevin Sweat said he would look into the cart path from Woodhaven idea.

6. Update on Sand Traps

Mr. Sweat stated that legal is close to completing the final details for the 2025 project so work can begin.Members would like to rename Sand traps to Bunker Project.

7. Update on Marketing Plan

Sales & Marketing Director, Leslie House gave an overview of the Marketing Plan. The Cypress Head website has been updated. Ms. House stated that they are planning to enhance the driving range when the budget is prioritized. The board discussed addressing the hours of the restaurant and making sure that it is open during tournaments. Mr. Sweat added that the Restaurant lease states that they should be open to the public during regular golf course hours.
