CODE §§ 54950 ET SEQ.).

1 MINUTES SAND CITY ART COMMITTEE Special Art Committee Meeting - Thursday, June 11, 2026 10:00 AM As allowed by Assembly Bill 2449, this meeting was conducted in person and by teleconference. The meeting was called to order at 10:01 AM. 1. ROLL CALL Present: Committee Member Clark Committee Member Hawthorne Committee Member Saunders Committee Member Temple Committee Member Djokic (Absent) 2. COMMUNICATIONS No public comment 3. ORDER OF BUSINESS 3A. Approve the Sand City Art Committee Meeting Minutes for April 28, 2026 No public comment received. Upon motion by Committee Member Clark and seconded by Committee Member Saunders, Committee Member Djokic absent, the Art Committee voted 4-0-1 to approve the Art Committee Special Meeting Minutes for April 28, 2026. 3B. Consideration of Proposed Artists for the City Commissioned Mural on the Graniterock Batch Plant No public comment received. The Art Committee took turns listing their top three (3) muralists from the choices previously provided by the Mobergs, including a local artist from California. After discussion, the Art Committee picked their top 3 choices: (1) Leon Keer; (2) Julie Engelman; & (3) James Bullough. The Mobergs will first reach out to Graniterock to obtain a clearer vision for the design style. Mobergs will then reach out to the top 3 muralists for their prospective murals. Mobergs requested a timeline of a month, to give to the muralists in order for ample time for a well-designed sample. The Art Committee felt that was reasonable. The Mobergs will send out the samples once all have been received. 4. ADJOURNMENT 5
