Council Member Julie Roche, Council Member George Syrop, Council Member Francisco Zermeno, and

Mayor Mark Salinas

CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT

The City Council convened in closed session on June 25, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., with all

members present, and no public speakers, regarding two items: 1) conference with legal

counsel Pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(d)(1) regarding Roe v. Montenegro,

et al., Alameda County Superior Court, No. 22 CV010050; and 2) conference with labor

negotiators pursuant to Government Code section 54957.6 regarding negotiations with all

labor groups. City Attorney Lawson announced that the Council met regarding Item 1 and

unanimously, with Council Member Bonilla Jr. moving and Council Member Andrews

seconding, approved settlement in the amount of $1 million. Regarding Item 2, the Council

gave direction to its negotiators and took no reportable action. The closed session

adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
