Please note that the results below are not final for the 2023-24 year, as the accounting accrual period does not end until 60 days (August 31 st ) after fiscal year end. Accounting Accrual Period: General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) require that the District account for, or accrue, all revenue and expenditures that were related to the fiscal year 2023-24 (FY24). A portion of July and August bills payable are for expenses incurred in FY24 and will increase expenses presented below. Additionally, any State or Federal grant dollars received that are attributable to FY24 will add to revenue. Upon completion of our independent fiscal audit, final results will be presented later in the fall. Revenue: The table below shows the current pre-audit results for revenue received and recorded during the year. Overall, as displayed in the table below, the District is slightly above budget for revenues, coming in at 102.9% of budget. Positive variances in all funds are attributable to record investment income returns as interest rates stayed high throughout the year. The district also received $1.3 million more than budget in corporate personal property replacement tax revenue, which was reserved for future capital spend. The code requires that the resolution contain reimbursement limits for travel, meals and lodging for BOE members and staff members on District business. The BOE has previously asked that the administration track expenses for travel, meals and lodging and that this data be considered when making recommendations for possible revisions to the resolution. The administration has done so. The administration recommends the following limit increases; roundtrip travel from $550 to $650, per night lodging from $350 to $400, breakfast from $15 to $20, lunch from $20 to $25 and dinner from $40 to $45.
