CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, MOMENT OF SILENCE & INVOCATION Mayor Bell called the meeting to order at 8:02PM. Interim Town Clerk Jacqueline Wilson called the roll. Mayor Bell led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Bell polled the Council to establish a voting procedure to select a Town Clerk. The general consensus of the Council was for each member to submit a ballot listing the selected candidate of choice to the Town Attorney for tabulation. Mayor Peggy Bell, Vice Mayor Ernest Sochin, Council Member Mary Ann Mixon, Council Member Sue Ellen Loyzelle and Council Member Roger Coriat Present: 5 - 2. PUBLIC COMMENTS Mayor Bell opened Public Comments and there were none. 3. RESOLUTIONS Interim Town Clerk Jacqueline Wilson read the title of the Resolution. The Town Council submitted ballots to the Town Attorney for tabulation. Town Attorney Mitchell Bierman announced Jacqueline Wilson as the selected candidate for the Town Clerk position by majority vote of the Town Council. A. A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CUTLER BAY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING THE TOWN CLERK AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN ENGAGEMENT LETTER ON THE BEHALF OF THE TOWN; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE A motion was made by Council Member Mixon, seconded by Vice Mayor Sochin, that this Resolution be adopted and enter in with Jacqueline Wilson. Council Member Loyzelle spoke in opposition of the motion. Vice Mayor Sochin spoke in favor of the motion. Council Member Mixon spoke in favor of the motion. Mayor Bell spoke in favor of the motion. Mayor Bell congratulated Jacqueline Wilson. 5. OTHER BUSINESS There was no other business. 6. ADJOURNMENT Mayor Bell adjourned the meeting at 8:47PM.
