The District has an annual contract with Safe-Chek, Inc., to provide guarantees for NSF (Not Sufficient Funds) checks written to the District. A recent NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) rule change now requires the District to have a direct agreement with the ACH (Automated Clearing House) processor company, Profituity that Safe-Chek, Inc., uses to reimburse the District for NSF checks. This agreement is required in order for the District to continue contracting with Safe-Chek, Inc. This agreement is for the processing of ACH funds for checks written directly to the District, not the individual schools. We also are requesting approval for the School Principals to sign the same agreement for each individual school to be reimbursed directly to their individual school banks. Each school must complete a Profituity agreement with their specific bank noted for reimbursement of NSF checks. There is no cost for these services to the District.
