Miller, Cynci Calvin, Lisa Kodl, Matt Spokely, Jami Vincent Guests/Volunteers: Larry Grilli, Gloria Takagishi Quorum: Present Minutes: August 19, 2015 meeting minutes approved Public Comment • Robert Miller mentioned that all the ASRA maps have been distributed and very well received: o Visitor’s Center, Christensen’s, Victory Velo, Auburn Running Company, Echo Valley, A-‐Town Bikes, Bicycle Emporium, Cool Feed Store, ARD, City Council. o Time to consider a second printing. o Update maps with corrections: State Park boundary not accurate around American River Overlook area. New Member • Cynci to Check with Amy about applicants’ deadline. • So far one new applicant (Dan Tebbs of Victory Velo). • Others include Gloria Takagishi, Larry Grilli, Lori Vincent, Erin McChesney. • Make a decision at the next meeting. • Wednesday evening meeting date might not work for City of Auburn’s New Website vs. the ECC Website • Cynci checked with Amy and she had no updates about the launch of new website or its takeover of the ECC site. • Plan for now is for the new site to absorb the ECC site, although the ECC will have access to perform updates. Events • Events discussion centered around which events the ECC should attend to promote the visibility of Auburn as Endurance Capital of the World. o Look at the VisitPlacer.com calendar and see which events might be good to have a presence. o Possibly 4/year – will continue with WSER and the Tevis, so that means 2 more. • Upcoming events: UROC, ARD’s Obstacle Race both on the coming weekend. ECC 2015-‐2016 Workplan • Cynci reported that Sheryl Petersen told her that she has been very busy with Fall events and unable to promote the Challenge. We need to decide what to do next about this. • Jami reported that Tracy Blakewell of “Personalize It” in Cool needed more information to give us a quote about the tent. o Same quality as the Christensen’s tent we used at WSER o Green or light blue fabric; color logo on four upper panels; website on lower horizontal panel (2) alternating with “All Trails Lead to Auburn…” on other 2 horizontal panels. o Cynci can send her the artwork. • New banner: o Cynci to get quote and do layout. o Will be generic. • Should Logo be trademarked? Matt to investigate.
