ROLL CALL Present: 4- Chairperson Anthony Bello, Board Member Ignacio Permuy, Board Member Carmen Olazabal, and Board Member Carlos Bolivar Excused: 1 Vice Chairperson Monique Selman APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Construction Regulation Board Meeting of August 10, 202626-2080 A motion was made by Board Member I. Permuy, seconded by Board Member C. Bolivar, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Chairperson A. Bello, Board Member I. Permuy, Board Member C. Bolivar CHANGES TO THE AGENDA PUBLIC HEARING 1021 HARDEE RD25-9340 This Agenda Item was Deferred SECOND HEARING/ UPDATES 1545 CANTORIA AVE26-1639 Respondent were not present, The owner shall take the required action as follows, A. Previous order stands and fines of $250 per day be imposed, retroactive to 6-23-26, since the construction materials and loose roof tiles were not removed from the outdoor areas of the property or relocated inside the structure by the deadline of 6-22-26. B. That an additional immediate daily fine of $500 be imposed, until the construction materials and loose roof tiles are removed from the outdoor areas of the property or relocated inside the structure. The Board approved an additional 30 days to submit the current safe to occupy letter from the Board’s meeting and additional 60 days from the Board’s meeting to submit the recertification reports free of deficiency, recertifying the structure. B. That an additional $500 daily fine be imposed if the building is not recertified within 60 days of the board’s meeting, until the building is fully recertified. A motion was made by Board Member I. Permuy, seconded by Board Member C. Bolivar, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Chairperson A. Bello, Board Member I. Permuy, Board Member C. Olazabal, and Board Member C. Bolivar 3301 PONCE DE LEON BLVD25-1014 Respondent were present, The owner shall take the required action as follows, A. Previous order stands with the recertification deadline extended 45 days from the board’s meeting. B. That an additional $500 daily fine be imposed if the building is not recertified within 45 days of the board’s meeting, until the building is fully recertified. A motion was made by Board Member C. TMPC-26-08-0370 to erect a temporary construction fence and obtain the required inspection to confirm that the structure has been secured against unauthorized entry. B. Pass final inspection on the water and sewer cap off permit, no. PLUB-26-06-1579, and the total demolition permit, no. BLDB-26-02-3988 (collectively referred to as “demolition permits”). C. Repair or demolish the structure and pass final inspection on the demolition permit within ninety (90) days of the board’s meeting. D . That an immediate daily fine of $500 be imposed, until (1) the property passes inspection to confirm that the temporary fence has been erected and (2) the demolition permits are closed and are in “finaled” status. That the property owner submit appropriately signed and sealed safe-to-occupy letter the structural recertification, within 30 days of the board’s meeting attesting that the structure's structural system is safe for occupancy while repairs are undertaken, and that updated safe-to-occupy letters be submitted every six (6) months thereafter while recertification is pending. B. Submit structural recertification report free of deficiency, recertifying the structure within sixty (60) days of the board's meeting. C. That the building official shall thereafter take any measures within his authority, as set forth in city or county code and Florida law, to ensure the safety of the building, its occupants, and the surrounding areas, including but not limited to evacuating the structure, disconnecting utilities, and demolition of the structure. B. That the property owner submit appropriately signed and sealed safe-to-occupy letters for both the structural and electrical recertification, within 30 days of the board’s meeting attesting that the structure's structural and electrical systems are safe for occupancy while repairs are undertaken, and that updated safe-to-occupy letters be submitted every six (6) months thereafter while recertification is pending.
