1 City of Gainesville City Plan Board Meeting MINUTES January 23, 2025, 6:30 p.m. City Hall Auditorium 200 East University Avenue Gainesville, FL 32601 Members Present: Robert Ackerman, Jamie Bell, Nickolas Hill, Robert Mermer, Joshua Ney, Stephanie Sutton Members Absent: Tina Certain, Jason Sanchez _____________________________________________________________________ A. CALL TO ORDER Chair Hill called the meeting to order. B. ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA Motion to approve by Member Ney, seconded by member Bell. Passed unanimously. C. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Motion to approve by Member Mermer, second by Member Ney. Passed unanimously. D. PUBLIC COMMENT None. E. OLD BUSINESS None. F. BUSINESS DISCUSSION ITEMS 1. 2025-35 Volkswagen Wellfield LD24-000093 20250123 (B)

2 Planner Phimetto Lewis presented the petition. The applicant was in attendance but did not have a presentation. Board Member Mermer asked a question related to inspections for compliance with County Hazardous Waste Code. City Environmental Coordinator Jennie Ford answered that compliance was conducted by the County on an as needed basis, and additional follow up could occur with Chris Gilbert with the County if needed. Motion to approve with conditions. Moved by Jamie Bell Seconded by Robert Ackerman Recommendation: The City Plan Board Approve LD24-000093 Volkswagen Wellfield Special Use Permit. Approved G. MEMBER COMMENT Planner Brittany McMullen provided an update on pending Code changes and department efforts. H. NEXT MEETING DATE The next City Plan Board meeting will occur on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025. I. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 pm.
