LUCIE COUNTY - REGULAR MEETING- APRIL 12, 2022 - 5:00 P.M. Category 11. Consent Agenda - Growth Management Type Action (Consent) Recommended Action The Superintendent recommends the Board approve the Interlocal Agreement for Real Property Contribution for Parking Improvements with the City of Port St. Lucie for the proposed roadway improvements in front of Floresta Elementary School as presented and attached to the agenda. Description: The City of Port St. Lucie is proposing roadway improvements in front of Floresta Elementary. As a part of the improvements, they are proposing a round-a-bout in front of Floresta Elementary school. The round-a-bout will provide ease of exit from both the bus loading area and the parent pickup loop. The round-a-bout will allow southbound movements without having to cross traffic, rather all turns will be a merging movement onto Floresta and then move around the round-a-bout to the exit to go north or south. To build the improvement, the City needs some additional right-of-way and they will impact onsite parking. They will cure the impacts by constructing additional parking onsite so that the school has no loss of parking. A right turn lane into the school's parent drop-off/pickup will be constructed to prevent stacking of cars on the adjacent street.
