C. GOLF CART RECOMMENDATIONS TO COMMISSION FINAL REVIEW: The task force reviewed the suggestions made

regarding safety, vehicle registrations, inspections, and insurance. The task force confirmed their suggestions from

the previous meeting which include: expanding the golf cart accessible streets to streets posted at 30 mph or less as

allowed by state law, but not allowing for state road crossings at this time, as depicted in map 1. The task force

stated that the most important thing is safety and suggested education and proper signage be considered if the golf

cart accessible streets are expanded. The task force also added to their recommendation in suggesting that if the

ordinance is updated, that the City retains all golf cart safety requirements currently outlined in ordinance no. 15-47.

The Task force also suggests that the City consider vehicle registration and insurance with guidance from the City

attorney, public safety personnel and other relevant staff.
