MINUTES OF THE

REGULAR MEETING OF THE

LA MIRADA CITY COUNCIL

APRIL 11, 2023 – 6:30 P.M.

1\. CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Pro Tem De Ruse called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Council

Chambers, La Mirada City Hall, 13700 La Mirada Boulevard, La Mirada,

California.

2\. INVOCATION

The invocation was delivered by Pastor Jim Clark of Grace Evangelical Free

Church.

3\. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by La Mirada Chamber of Commerce.

4\. ROLL CALL

City Council was present with Councilmember Lewis, Councilmember Sarega,

and Mayor Pro Tem De Ruse responding to roll call. Councilmember Eng and

Mayor Otero were absent.

The following staff members were also present: City Manager Jeff Boynton,

Assistant City Manager/City Clerk Anne Haraksin, and City Attorney Craig Fox.

There were no public comments.

6\. CONSENT CALENDAR

Councilmember Lewis moved and Councilmember Sarega seconded to

approve the following consent calendar items:

6.1 APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES

The City Council approved the minutes of the regular City Council meeting

of March 28, 2023.

6.2 APPROVAL OF WARRANT REGISTER

The City Council approved the warrant register dated April 11, 2023 in the

total amount of $4,643,540.86.

6.3 MONTHLY TREASURER REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING

FEBRUARY 2023

To address the City Council on an Agenda item other than a Public Hearing or during Public Comments, please fill out a "Request to Address Council" card located in the back of the Council Chambers near the agendas and submit to the City Clerk prior to the meeting or as soon as possible. There is a five minute maximum time limit when addressing the City Council. The amount of time for public comment may be reduced by the Mayor or by action of the City Council

To submit your Public Comments electronically in advance, please email your written comments to cityclerk@lamirada.gov. The deadline to submit your Public Comment electronically is on the day of a regular City Council meeting before 3 p.m. For special meetings, comments must be received at least three hours prior to the meeting. Members of the public may participate in this meeting via remote attendance by using the Zoom Webinar information.

APPROVAL OF WARRANT REGISTER - It is recommended the City Council approve the warrant register dated April 11, 2023 in the total amount of $4,643,540.86.

MONTHLY TREASURER REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING FEBRUARY 2023 - It is recommended the City Council receive and file the City of La Mirada Monthly Treasurer Report for the period ending February 2023.

CHANGE TO LA MIRADA TRANSIT SERVICE AREA BOUNDARIES - It is recommended the City Council approve an addendum to the agreement with MV Transportation to expand the service area boundaries to include the Trader Joe’s located at 2101 Imperial Highway, La Habra, CA 90631 and authorize the City Manager to execute the addendum on behalf of the City.
