“I proudly voted for historic funding for school security and literacy programs in every K-12 school to ensure our children are safe in the classroom and equipped with the tools they need to thrive in life. This year, I passed a local bill to cap education property tax assessments in Cherokee County at 4% - my chief campaign promise during last year's special election. My bill allows for no opt-outs by county government and applies to the school taxes - meaning we will put an end to endless runaway tax hikes once and for all.”
