• •The Recording Notification Service (RNS) is a free service that sends automated emails when a document is recorded in the Alachua County Official Records under a monitored name.
• •Users can monitor up to 10 different name variations per registered email address.
• •The service only alerts users to documents recorded after the date of registration.
• •Registration information, including names and email addresses, is protected from public disclosure under Florida Statute 28.47(5)(b).
• •The Clerk of the Court is legally required to record all documents that meet statutory requirements and cannot refuse to record a document even if it is suspected to be fraudulent.
• •Documents cannot be removed from the Official Records without a court order.
• •The Clerk of Court, Property Appraiser, and Tax Collector offices do not have the authority to take legal action to reverse fraudulent activity.
