Investigation Underway After Off-Duty Deputy Shoots Person in South Beach

An off-duty Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy shot and critically injured a person at South Pointe Park early Wednesday morning. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is currently investigating the incident, which is standard procedure when a police officer uses their weapon.
