What This Bill Proposed
Wyoming House Bill 49 prohibits county clerks, election officials, and public employees from establishing or using ballot es and bans individuals from delivering absentee ballots through them. Under the measure, improperly delivered ballots may be treated as spoiled by the county clerk, who may notify the voter. The act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law.
Absentee voters in Wyoming lose the option to submit ballots via es and must rely exclusively on mail or hand delivery to the clerk's office, while ballots left in drop boxes face potential invalidation.
