Broward Sheriff Hires Dissertation Advisor as Reserve Deputy

Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony hired his doctoral dissertation advisor as a volunteer reserve deputy sheriff shortly after graduating from Nova Southeastern University in June 2024. A reserve deputy is a volunteer law enforcement officer who holds the same authority as a full-time deputy.
