The 30-second read

Recorded outcome

The board held a first reading for an ordinance to set the final property tax rate at 1.0 mills for the upcoming fiscal year.

The North Redington Beach Board of Commissioners held a public hearing to discuss the proposed 2023-2024 budget and a property tax rate of 1.0 mills. This proposed rate represents a 14.32% increase over the 'rolled-back' rate, which is the rate that would generate the same amount of tax revenue as the previous year.

Why it matters

Property owners in North Redington Beach may see a change in their annual tax bills starting October 1, 2023, due to the proposed increase in the millage rate to 1.0.
