Monday, February 12, 2024 · Government meeting record

The 30-second read

Record incomplete

The Crystal River City Council denied two major land-use amendments for a 39-acre property on N Citrus Avenue and approved several infrastructure projects, including a new parking lot and a law enforcement watercraft. The Council also discussed the ongoing search for a permanent City Manager and received updates on storm recovery efforts.

Why it matters

The Council's decision to deny zoning changes for the 39-acre N Citrus Avenue site prevents a proposed density increase, while the approval of a $812,394 contract for the NW 1st Avenue Parking Lot project commits city funds to downtown infrastructure.
