Call meeting to orderA.

Chairman Everett Roy called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m.

Staff members present: City Secretary Rebecca Huerta, Presiding Municipal Court

Judge Jackie Chapa, Assistant City Secretary Stephanie Box, and City Attorney Miles

Risley.

Roll CallB.

City Secretary Huerta called the roll and said a quorum was present to conduct the

meeting.

1. 18-1362 Approval of the July 24, 2024 meeting minutes

Council Member Eric Cantu moved to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by

Chairman Everett Roy. The motion carried.

Chairman Roy announced that the committee would tour the City Detention Center and

the tour at 3:24 p.m.

(Human Resources Director Rebecca Castillo arrived at 3:31 p.m., Deputy City Manager

Michael Rodriguez arrived at 3:33 p.m., and Deputy City Attorney Buck Brice arrived at

3:47 p.m.)
