Secret Service shoots armed man near Washington Monument

A Secret Service officer shot and injured an armed man near the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. on Monday around 3:30 p.m. The suspect fled and fired at officers when approached, and a teenage bystander was also injured, believed to have been struck by the suspect. No officers were hurt, and a weapon was recovered at the scene.
