Projects, Plans and Agreements Type Action Recommended Action Motion to Approve Title I, Part A provides financial assistance to schools with high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. All schools in the district are classified as Title I for the 2024-2025 school year. The funds from this project will be used pay for: Salary for 2 resource teachers at Blountstown Elementary School Salary for 1 resource teacher at Altha Public School Salary for 0.5 resource teacher at Carr Elementary and Middle School Salary for two Curriculum Coaches (80%) Professional development activities Parental involvement activities Amount of Funds: $749,488 The purpose of Title II, Part A – Supporting Effective Instruction is to provide funds to local educational agencies to 1) increase student achievement consistent with challenging State academic standards; 2) improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders; 3) increase the number of teachers, principals, and other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools; and 4) provide low-income and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders. The funds from this project will be used pay for: Salary Curriculum Coaches (20%) Salary for District Instructional Technology Coach (60%) Professional development activities Amounts of funds:$123,496 Title IV, Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment Program The project submitted will provide a two week summer STEM Camp focusing on math and science concepts and computer programming. To support safe and healthy learning environments, the district will use funds to purchase medical supplies for emergency Go Bags, which will be distributed across all campuses and placed in county vans that are used to transport students.. These supplies will include first aid kits, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency contact information, wound packing gauze, OLAES Hemostatic Bandages, LifeVac devices, fire blankets, and other critical health-related items. Go Bags will be accessible during drills, lockdowns, or actual emergencies to provide immediate medical attention and support. Additionally, the district will acquire a poster printer to produce customized safety posters and signage that clearly communicate evacuation routes, safety procedures, and health protocols throughout school buildings and during reunification drills and emergencies. . Sign stands and sign holders will also be purchased to ensure these messages are prominently and effectively displayed. Clip boards will hold forms for parents to complete at reunification drills and emergencies as well. The amount of the project is $ $58,986 Title V, Part B Rural Low-Income School Program Funds from this program are to be used to help all students meet the challenging State academic standards using authorized activities in Title I, Part A. Funds from this program will be used to employ an additional resource teacher at Blountstown Elementary School and Carr Elementary and Middle School to provide small group and Tier 3 instruction and remediation to at-risk reading students in grades 3-5. 100% of the salary will be paid for the teacher at BES and 80% of the salary for the teacher at Carr from Title V funds.
