Miccosukee Tribe Seeks Control of 'Alligator Alcatraz' Site

The Miccosukee Tribe has formally requested that Miami-Dade County transfer the 'Alligator Alcatraz' site to them for conservation purposes. However, the land remains under the control of the Florida state government following a seizure last summer, preventing the county from fulfilling the request.
