Ms. McCabe gave a refreshed preview of the design presentation, including plant materials to be used in the landscaping. Ms. McCabe stated that the hardscape areas at crosswalks could use some improvements for both esthetics and safety. Ms. McCabe stated that their schedule was to submit construction documents that would go through a 30,60,90 percent approval phase and once approved would go out to bid and she hopes that the hardscape design would be ready to submit with the construction documents. Ms. McCabe stated that lane closures would be needed for staging and the time schedule could be discussed to impact traffic as little as possible. Ms. McCabe stated that nighttime staging was possible; however, the cost might be different. Ms. McCabe stated that the nosings of turn lanes would have low ground cover and they could review the plan in detail to be sure that the plantings would be low, and visibility would not be obstructed.
