Recommendation That the Sarasota County School Board approve the VIP Agreement between Imagine Learning, LLC and the School Board of Sarasota County, FL. That the Sarasota County School Board authorize the Chairperson or Vice Chairperson and the Superintendent to execute the agreement contingent upon form approval by General Counsel.

Description Instructional Provider Program Participation Agreement between Imagine Learning, LLC and the School Board of Sarasota County, FL. In accordance with Florida Statute 1002.45, the district operates a full-time virtual educational option for eligible students in grades K-12; Sarasota Virtual School. The district manages all school functions with the exception of content creation and providing the direct instruction of students enrolled full time with Sarasota Virtual School as their official school of enrollment. Imagine Learning, LLC will provide instructional teaching services and state-approved coursework for eligible students.

Gap Analysis For students who are enrolled in a full-time capacity with Sarasota Virtual School, Imagine Learning provides curriculum and instruction for those students in grades K thru 12. Historically, Sarasota Virtual School has contracted with VIPs (Virtual Instruction Providers) to serve students who have full-time enrollment in SVS.

Previous Outcomes Imagine Learning has produced high completion/success rates for SVS students in the past, averaging a completion rate that is consistently above 90-95%. Parents and families are routinely surveyed on their experience with Imagine Learning, and they consistently earn high marks from our families based on the quality of curriculum and teacher instruction.

Expected Outcomes Sarasota Virtual School looks to continue this partnership for the 2026-2027 school year with continued positive experiences for families and similar completion/success rates for our students.

Strategic Plan Pillar 1: Every Student Achieves Priority 4: Equip Students for Life

Financial Impact Sarasota Virtual Schools shall pay fees described in Attachment B Payment Terms and Conditions. Imagine Learning has a new per-course rate of $260 per ½ credit completion, allowing Sarasota County to retain the remainder of the FTE earned per student. The course rate is only charged for students who are in the program for more than 28 calendar days. Any course withdrawal prior to the 28-day grace period is not charged. For students in K-5, there is an additional charge of $100 per semester for tactile materials such as workbooks and other manipulatives.

9.2 APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF JUNIOR GREAT BOOKS (INSPIRE) SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR GRADE 2-5 TEACHERSLinked attachment: APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF JUNIOR GREAT BOOKS (INSPIRE) SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR GRADE 2-5 TEACHERS Official source: https://sarasotacountyschools.community.diligentoneplatform.com/document/97201520-31fb-4c39-b64a-8f8deea0dead Title Approval of the purchase of JUNIOR GREAT BOOKS (INSPIRE) Supplemental instructional materials for GRADE 2-5 TEACHERS Recommendation That the Sarasota County School Board approve the purchase of the supplemental instructional materials designed for enrichment and shared inquiry for grade 2-5 teachers. Description Junior Great Books Inspire Series and accompanying nonfiction texts provide high-quality, standards-aligned supplemental instructional resources designed to strengthen students' reading comprehension, critical thinking, and collaborative discussion skills. Through engaging literary and informational texts, students participate in evidence-based reading, writing, and inquiry experiences that build vocabulary, deepen understanding of complex texts, and support Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards. These resources will enhance Tier 1 literacy instruction, provide enrichment opportunities for students, and promote meaningful student discourse across elementary classrooms. Gap Analysis Current elementary supplemental instructional resources provide strong support for grade-level instruction and intervention; however, there is a limited availability of high-quality enrichment materials specifically designed to extend learning for students who have demonstrated proficiency of grade-level standards. During teacher-led small group instruction and WIN (What I Need) time, educators often have robust intervention resources but lack comparable materials that promote deeper thinking, analysis, inquiry, and application for students who are ready for additional challenge. The addition of these supplemental resources will provide teachers with standards-aligned opportunities to differentiate instruction, ensuring all students continue to experience academic growth through rigorous reading, discussion, and problem-solving experiences that extend and enrich grade-level expectations while remaining connected to Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards. Previous Outcomes SY25-26 All Schools ELA Proficiency ELA Learning Gains
