Manatee County approves $100,000 for historic cemetery security

Manatee County commissioners have unanimously approved $100,000 in funding to install fencing, lighting, and security cameras at the Old Memphis Cemetery. This decision follows the vandalism of 17 gravesites at the historic, predominantly Black burial ground.
