Recorded outcome

The Greensboro City Council met to discuss the potential release of police body camera footage involving the death of Ms. Vo and to address the city's budget development timeline. The Council debated whether to release the video immediately to maintain public confidence or to wait until a formal policy regarding body camera footage could be adopted.

Why it matters

The Council's decision on whether to release police video footage sets a precedent for how the city handles public access to sensitive law enforcement records and impacts the legal and privacy rights of the individuals involved.
