An Oregon family filed a lawsuit seeking $950,220.85 in damages after their sixth-grade son and dozens of other students were allegedly served pretzels seasoned with industrial oven cleaner at Fowler Middle School. The complaint alleges that the lead cafeteria worker crushed a concentrated oven cleaner tablet and mistakenly used it instead of salt, serving about 37 contaminated pretzels during lunch on Oct. 20, 2025.
