Business Services Subject 3.01 Fiscal Agreement: Urban Futures, Inc., dba Isom Advisors Meeting Mar 25, 2024 - Special Board Meeting Type Action (Consent) It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an agreement between Pomona Unified School District and Urban Futures, Inc., a California corporation doing business as Isom Advisors, located in Walnut Creek, California, to provide financial planning, financial advisory, continuing disclosure consulting services, and review of the debt transparency report related to District’s general obligation bonds. This agreement is effective March 26, 2024, through June 30, 2027. The total cost of the agreement is at an amount not to exceed $95,000. Funding: Special Reserve Capital Projects 402-00000-0-00000-72000-5880-710-8650 Rationale: Approval of this agreement will allow Isom Advisors to provide consulting support related to the District’s general obligation bonds, including planning and preparation of bond/parcel tax and ballot language, assisting with bond finance and bond issuance, managing pre-closing and closing, bond sale, certificates of participation, leases and/or other financings. Isom Advisors will also provide annual review and filing continuing disclosure annual reports, submitting to Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board all necessary filings and documentation in order to remain compliant, and review of ongoing District’s Annual Debt Transparency Report (ADTR) requirements, submitting to the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission (CDIAC) the necessary filings and documentation to remain compliant with SB 1029 including ADTR by January 31st of each year. Legal Counsel has reviewed this agreement and has advised that it is sufficient for the intended purpose. A copy of this agreement is in the office of the Assistant Superintendent/Chief Business Officer.
