Citizen Requirement for Voting in Florida Elections

The change applies to all employers in Florida subject to minimum wage requirements. It replaces the existing minimum wage floor with a new statutory wage schedule.
All Voters Vote in Primary Elections for State Legislature, Governor, and Cabinet
This measure would open primary elections for state legislature, governor, and cabinet positions to all registered voters regardless of party affiliation, with all candidates appearing on a single primary ballot. The two candidates receiving the most votes would advance to the general election, regardless of party designation. If only two candidates qualify for an office, the general election would serve as the sole election.
Voter Approval of Constitutional Amendments
This measure would require that any proposed amendments or revisions to the Florida Constitution be approved by voters in two consecutive elections rather than one, with the same 60% passage threshold applied to each election, before taking effect.
Limitations on Homestead Property Tax Assessments; Increased Portability Period to Transfer Accrued Benefit
This amendment extends from 2 years to 3 years the time period during which Florida homeowners can transfer their accumulated Save-Our-Homes tax assessment benefits from a previous homestead to a new homestead. The Save-Our-Homes provision caps annual increases in assessed property values for homesteaded properties, and this measure gives homeowners more time to claim that accumulated benefit when purchasing a new home.
Ad Valorem Tax Discount for Spouses of Deceased Veterans Who Had Permanent, Combat-Related Disabilities
This amendment extends Florida's existing homestead property tax discount for veterans with permanent combat-related disabilities to their surviving spouses. The surviving spouse may claim the discount on the homestead property if they hold legal or beneficial title and permanently reside there, and the discount continues until the spouse remarries or sells the property.
